This summer, University of Tennessee nursing students are putting their classroom lessons into practice by taking critical health care services to the elderly, the homeless and the economically disadvantaged.
Forty high school students from across the country participated in a first-ever UT College of Architecture and Design summer camp the last week in June.
UT’s Neyland Stadium is now smoke free. In compliance with a new state law passed this year that prohibits smoking in all enclosed public places, smoking will no longer be allowed inside the gates of the stadium.
UT has appointed Dr. Paul Erwin to be director of the Center for Public Health Policy and Research. Erwin, 50, has been the East Tennessee regional director of the Tennessee Department of Health based in Knoxville since 1995. He will take his new post on Sept. 1.
