KNOXVILLE — The Central Program Council is holding a membership drive this month for each of its seven committees. If you enjoy film, art, music or politics, there is a place for you in CPC. Applications will be available Feb. 13 in the Office of Student Activities or online at

Each year the Central Program Council brings more than 150 events to campus, ranging from political pundits, like Al Sharpton, to pop culture icons, such as cast members from -The Real World-. CPC has sponsored events like the Great Pornography Debate, featuring Ron Jeremy, and Heads and Feds: The Marijuana Debate. Homecoming, All-Sing, and Carnicus are also events coordinated through CPC committees. Students from all areas of campus are encouraged to apply. Application deadlines are as follows:

-All Campus Events: Feb. 23
-Campus Entertainment Board: Feb. 24
-Film Committee: Feb. 24
-Issue Committees: Feb. 24
-Women-s Coordinating Council: Feb. 24
-Cultural Attractions Committee: Feb. 27
-Visual Arts Committee: Feb. 27
