The workshop runs from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in Room 132 of the College of Law building and will cover such topics as the law school admission process, preparing for law school as an undergraduate, the LSAT, and financing a legal education.

At 1:45 p.m., admissions representatives will hold a student question-and-answer session in the commons area.

Representatives of several Southeastern law schools will be available from 3 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. to discuss their academic programs with prospective students.

Schools planning to send representatives or materials are Alabama, Charleston, Cumberland, Emory, Georgia, Kentucky, Memphis, Mercer, Mississippi College, Richmond, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Virginia, and Washington and Lee.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for those who are looking to apply or who are simply seeking more information about a future career in law,” said Dr. Karen Britton, director of admissions, financial aid and career services for UT’s College of Law.

The workshop is free and requires no pre-registration.
