KNOXVILLE — An ad hoc committee of the University of Tennessee Board of Trustees will meet Monday, May 9, in Nashville.

The meeting is scheduled for 8 a.m. CDT at the law offices of Boult Cummings Conners and Berry, 1600 Division St.

The committee was appointed to study the role and scope of the UT Foundation and its relationship to the university.

At this initial meeting, the committee will review the history and current operations of the foundation and compare it with foundations at peer universities.

Committee members are: Jim Murphy, committee chair, Nashville; Waymon Hickman, Columbia; and Jim Haslam, Knoxville.

Ex officio members: Don Stansberry, vice chairman of the board, Huntsville; and UT president John Petersen.
