The executive committee of the University of Tennessee Board of Trustees will meet May 24 in Nashville to approve the contract of its new president and to discuss the presidential transition.
The meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. CDT Monday in the offices of Boult, Cummings, Conners & Berry, conference room 16-A, Bank of America Building, 414 Union Street.
Dr. John Petersen of the University of Connecticut was elected president of UT April 21 and signed a letter of offer and intent that day. He is expected to assume the UT presidency July 1.
