KNOXVILLE–Neyland Stadium security measures will be in effect for Saturday’s Orange and White football game, a University of Tennessee official said Friday.

The same procedures that are in place for regular season games will be used, Philip Scheurer, UT vice president for operations, said.

Tickets may be purchased at Gates 10, 21 and 25 beginning at noon.

Gates will open at 12:45 p.m., with Fan Day activities to start at 1 p.m. Kick off for the game is set for 3 p.m. Fans will enter the stadium through gates 7, 10, 14-A, 21, 21-A, 25 and 26.

“Since Sept. 11, 2001, we have not allowed backpacks and other large parcels in the stadium,” Scheurer said. “We will continue this policy for the spring game and remind fans that all items allowed through the gates will be subject to search and inspection.”

Fans may bring stadium seats without arms, cushions, binoculars, small cameras, pagers, cell phones, radio headsets and diaper bags that accompany an infant, he said.

Video cameras normally are not allowed in the stadium but because of Fan Day, Scheurer said they will be permitted Saturday.

No items can be left at gates for pickup after the game, he said.
