MILAN, Tenn. — Farmers, cattle producers and agricultural officials from 30 states and several countries are expected here July 27 for the University of Tennessee’s 20th No-Till Field Day.

Approximately 6,000 participants will celebrate a farming technique that leaves the soil undisturbed from the harvest of one crop to the planting of the next.

UT-s Agricultural Experiment Station has been a leader in developing no-till farming. Researchers say it can reduce erosion by up to 90 percent and is in use around the world.
