MARTIN, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee at Martin Choral Society will present a concert of sacred choral music at 3 p.m., Sunday, April 30 in the Harriet Fulton Theatre in the Fine Arts Building on campus.

The concert will open with Franz Schubert’s “Mass” with soloists Jennifer Cook, soprano; Gayle Gustafson, soprano; Matthew Bowlin, tenor; and Roger Cowen, bass.

Following intermission will be choral selections by Mozart, Haydn and the American composer, John Gerrish. The program will conclude with four selections by the contemporary English organist-composer, John Rutter.

The UT Martin Choral Society is a community outreach endeavor of the UT Martin department of music. Membership is open without audition to all who enjoy singing choral music. This year the UT Martin Choral Society is conducted by Dr. Dwight Gatwood and accompanied by Carolyn Doss.

Admission for the April 30 concert is $5 for adults and $3 for students.
