Knoxville — Computer systems at UT will be ready for the turn of the century.

That’s according to Sandy Goldston, the Y2K coordinator for UT’s Division of Information Infrastructure.

“We’ve been looking at this problem for several years,” Goldston said. “All our software applications have either been repaired or replaced, to reduce the risk of Y2K problems,”

Employees at UT’s DII office will be on standby on December 31, just in case any last-minute problems arise.
