A department head at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine has been honored by Auburn University for his professional accomplishments.
Dr. D. J. Krahwinkel, head of the Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences, received the Distinguished Alumnus Award in November for his work as a practitioner and leader in the veterinary profession. Krahwinkel is a 1966 graduate of Auburn-s veterinary college. He is an original member of the UT veterinary faculty and has been head since 1982.
