KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — There is a fungus among us. A dry spring and recent heavy rains have triggered sudden proliferation of mushrooms in the region, a University of Tennessee mycologist said Friday. Dr. Ron Petersen, a UT-Knoxville botany professor, said many species of mushrooms bear fruit or “caps” at different times from April to fall.
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The University of Tennessee College of Nursing is offering a symposium for nurses interested in helping hold clinical trials. The daylong symposium, “Emerging Roles for Nurses in the Conduct of Clinical Trials,” is scheduled for Saturday, Aug.28, in Wood Auditorium at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. The program focuses
