Thirty-five students have been named top graduates at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville for spring semester.

Seven of the top graduates are from the Knoxville area. They are: Joshua Christian Henderlight, an anthropology major; Nancy Jo Laurence, a child development major; Sarah Elaine Catherine Malia, a family studies major; Haverly A. Rauen, an English and German major; Carol Margaret Small Taylor, an English major; Diane W. Taylor, a social work major; and Janie Marie Cook, a mathematics major from Farragut.

Henderlight, Rauen, Carol Taylor and Cook are graduates of the College of Arts and Sciences; Laurence and Malia are graduates of the College of Human Ecology; and Diane Taylor is a graduate of the College of Social Work.

Top graduates have the highest undergraduate grade point averages in their colleges. The minimum GPA requirement to be a top graduate is a 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.

All the top graduates will be recognized at commencement ceremonies Friday.
