The University of Tennessee board of trustees- presidential search committee will meet Saturday, May 1, to select candidates to be interviewed for president of UT, Beauchamp Brogan, secretary of the board, said Thursday.

The meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. in the board room of Andy Holt Tower.

Brogan also announced Thursday that he has prepared a tentative schedule for candidate interviews.

On May 3, search committee interviews will be at 8 a.m. and noon in the board room. The advisory committee of faculty, staff, students and alumni will have an interview session at noon in arena dining rooms C and D.

A general interview session for the university community and the public will be held at 4 p.m., May 3, in the University Center auditorium.

On May 4, search committee interviews will be at 8 a.m. and noon in the board room and at 10 a.m. in room 605 Hodges Library. The advisory committee will have an interview session at noon in arena dining rooms C and D.

General interview sessions are set for 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. in the University Center auditorium.

On May 5, a search committee interview will be held at 8 a.m. in the board room, and a general interview session at 11 a.m. in the University Center auditorium.

The advisory committee will meet at noon in arena dining rooms C and D to discuss the candidates interviewed.

Brogan said the schedule also includes 6:30 p.m. dinners, May 3, with the search committee at Regas restaurant, and with the advisory committee at the University Club.

On May 4, the 6:30 p.m. dinners will be with the search committee at the Orangery and at Club LeConte with the advisory committee.
