The panel responsible for finding a new president for the University of Tennessee will meet May 1 to decide which candidates it will interview.
The board of trustees’ presidential search committee will gather at 10 a.m. in the boardroom of Andy Holt Tower to begin reviewing applications.
Beauchamp Brogan, UT general counsel, said the committee will consider which candidates will be interviewed for the post. Knoxville businessman and UT Trustee Bill Sansom chairs the search committee. All trustees have been invited to attend the meeting, Brogan said.
UT President Joe Johnson has announced plans to retire June 30.
