KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Julia Marie Miller, daughter of John and Karen Miller of Brentwood, earned top graduate honors in summer commencement exercises Friday at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.

Miller, a psychology major, was awarded top grad honors in the College of Arts and Sciences. Her other UT honors and activities included Phi Beta Kappa, Student Disciplinary Board, Residence Hall Assistant, and more than 200 hours of community work.

Top graduates at UT-Knoxville have the highest grade point averages (GPA) in their colleges. The minimum GPA to be a top grad is 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.

Miller plans to study occupational therapy beginning this fall at UT-Memphis.
