KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Roy Zeighami, son of Elaine Zeighami, Oak Ridge, was a top graduate in summer commencement exercises Friday at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.
A mechanical engineering major, Zeighami was top grad in the College of Engineering. Other honors and activities included Outstanding Senior in Mechanical Engineering, Tau Beta Pi Outstanding Senior and chairman of Engineer’s Day at UT-Knoxville.
Zeighami plans to continue his education at Stanford University studying for a master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
Top graduates at UT-Knoxville have the highest grade point averages (GPA) in their colleges. A minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale is required.
