KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The co-author of the best-selling book, “The Millionaire Next Door,” will speak April 6 at a lecture sponsored by Friends of the University of Tennessee Libraries.
Dr. Thomas Stanley, whose book was on the New York Times’ best-seller list for 63 weeks, is the speaker for the Dr. and Mrs. A.H. Lancaster Lecture series.
The lecture, scheduled for 7 p.m. on the fourth floor of the UT Conference Center on Henley Street, is a homecoming of sorts for Stanley, who earned a master’s degree at UT-Knoxville.
He also is the nephew of Mrs. Lancaster and the late Dr. Lancaster.
Paula Kaufman, dean of UTK libraries, said no admission is charged for the Friends lectures.
“We hope many will turn out to hear Dr. Stanley on a topic that obviously fascinates many American readers,” Kaufman said. “We’ll have refreshments afterwards.”
Parking is available in the Conference Center garage, also on Henley (formerly parking for Hess’s).
