KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The University of Tennessee-Knoxville ranks 62 among the nation’s 3,700 public and private colleges in the number of freshmen National Merit Scholars enrolled last fall. The ranking is based on figures in the National Merit Scholarship Corporation’s annual report. UT-Knoxville enrolled 34 freshmen Merit Scholars, and provided funding for 27. The remaining
