 ATLANTA, Ga. — Dr. Harry “Hap” McSween, professor of geological sciences at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, will speak at the Feb. 5 meeting of the Atlanta chapter of the UT National Alumni Association.

 A 6:30 p.m. reception will be followed by dinner at 7:15 P.M. at the J.W. Marriott at Lenox Mall in Atlanta.

 McSween, a member of NASA’s Mars Pathfinder spacecraft mission, will speak on “Taxpayers, Football Players, and the Exploration of Mars.”

 Gary Doble, president of the UT National Alumni Association, and Jack Williams, vice president for UT alumni affairs and development, will also attend.

 The UT alumni association has 110 chapters and more than 225,000 members worldwide.
