KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Dr. Joe Johnson, president of the University of Tennessee, will speak at the Nov. 20 meeting of the Blount County chapter of the UT National Alumni Association.

 A 6 p.m reception will be followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. at Green Meadow County Club, 1700 Louisville Road, Alcoa.

 A native of Vernon, Ala., Johnson received the bachelor’s degree with honors from Birmingham-Southern College and the master’s in public administration and the doctorate in higher education from UT-Knoxville.

 UT National Alumni Association meetings are open to all friends and alumni of the university. The UTNAA has 110 chapters and more than 225,000 members worldwide.
