KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Infectious diseases will be Dr. Robert Moore’s subject Nov. 11 for this year’s final “Tuesday Topics” lecture at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.

Moore, professor and head of UT-Knoxville’s department of microbiology, will speak on “Emerging and Re-Emerging Infectious Diseases: Catastrophic Predictions for a World Out-of-Balance.”

The presentation is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. in 235 University Center, followed by a reception for Moore at 8:15 p.m. hosted by Dr. Lorayne Lester, dean of the college of arts and sciences.

“Tuesday Topics” is a free public service of the college. Parking is also free in the University Center Parking Garage with a parking voucher that should be brought to the presentation to be stamped.

The series takes a break for the holidays after Moore’s lecture, resuming Jan. 13 with Dr. David Dungan, professor in the department of religious studies, talking about “Early Images of Jesus in Cultural Context.”
