KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Three Washington County students are recent recipients of scholarships from the University of Tennessee National Alumni Association.
The recipients:
— Jason P. Bates, 303 Quail Drive, Johnson City, earned a $1,300 first year scholarship at UT-Memphis. He is the son of Paul and Cynthia Bates.
— Paul B. Dewitt, 314 Quail Drive, Johnson City, earned a four-year $6,400 National Merit scholarship and a $1,500 freshman scholarship at UT-Knoxville. He is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Dewitt.
— John D. Stone, 615 Summit Drive, Jonesborough, earned a $1,500 upperclass scholarship at UT-Knoxville. He is the son of Sara and John Stone.
