KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Six Sumner County students are recent recipients of scholarships from the University of Tennessee National Alumni Association.

 The recipients:

 — Anna B. Batey, 115 Natchez Drive, Hendersonville, earned a four-year $12,000 Andy Holt scholarship at UT-Knoxville. She is the daughter of LeeAnn and Roger Batey.

 — Erin E. Goad, 106 Haynes Road, Portland, earned a $1,500 community college scholarship at UT-Knoxville. A former student at Volunteer State Community College, she is the daughter of Jo Ella Goad.

 — Wesley A. Heinlein, 104 Cool Springs Court, Hendersonville, earned a $1,500 upperclass scholarship at UT-Knoxville. He is the son of Ted and Carol Heinlein.

 — Lisa Jesse, 108 Ventura Court, Hendersonville, earned a $1,500 upperclass scholarship at UT-Knoxville. She is the daughter of Reinhardt and Ursula Jesse.

 — Jerry W. Smith, 110 Wessington Court, Hendersonville, earned a $1,500 valedictorian scholarship at UT-Knoxville for his accomplishment at Beech High School. He is the son of William G. and Sandra Smith.

 — Toni R. Vanwinkle, 449 Nubia Road, Westmoreland, earned a four-year $3,200 National Merit scholarship at UT-Chattanooga.
