KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Two Shelby County students have been awarded First Tennessee Bank Scholarships at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville for the 1997-98 academic year. They are Helen Margaret Hawkins and Kristian Amansec Reg.
Hawkins, daughter of Steve and Claudia Hawkins, Germantown, is a graduate of Houston High School and is studying speech pathology.
Reg, son of Cirilo and Esther Reg ,Millington, is a recent graduate of Millington Central High School. He plans to major in computer engineering.
The First Tennessee Scholarship was established through a donation to the University of Tennessee System in celebration of the bicentennial of the State of Tennessee.
