KNOXVILLE, Tenn.– East Area Festival Committee, a residence hall group at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, is conducting three fund raisers this fall for the Love Kitchen on McCalla Avenue.
Love Kitchen, a volunteer organization, serves hundreds of hot meals to homeless and home-bound persons every Thursday.
East area residence halls include Greve, Clement, Melrose and Massey. The group’s fund raisers last year benefited Habitat for Humanity.
This year’s events include:
— A five kilometer run and fun walk starting at 6 p.m., Oct. 29, from the University Center.
— Tricycle derby beginning at 5 p.m., Oct. 30, at Greve Hall.
— Golf tournament, starting at 8 a.m., Nov. 2, at Royal Oaks in Maryville.
