KNOXVILLE, Tenn.– The University of Tennessee has 41,650 students enrolled at its five campuses this fall.

The statewide total is down 285 from last fall, figures show.

UT-Knoxville has 3,692 first-time freshmen, an increase of 186, and 350 more first-time graduate students. However, total enrollment at UT-Knoxville is down 167 students from last fall’s 25,251.

UT-Martin, with 5,729 students, has the second highest enrollment in the school’s history. That’s down 72 from last year’s record 5,801.

UT-Chattanooga has 8,296 students enrolled, 35 fewer than last fall. UT-Memphis recorded a gain of 13 students and has 2,093 enrolled.

The College of Veterinary Medicine in Knoxville has 251 students, up 13 from last year. The UT Space Institute is down 37 students and has an enrollment of 197.

At Knoxville, undergraduate enrollment is 18,823, up 88 students. Graduate enrollment is down 255 to 6,261.
