KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Twenty-six Knoxville-area community leaders have joined the Chancellor’s Associates at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.

The associates, who serve three-year terms, advise UT-Knoxville Chancellor Bill Snyder and his staff on community issues. The 76-member group meets monthly.

Jerry Daves, president of Wood Properties in Knoxville, is chairman of the associates this year.

The new members are: Ross Bagwell, chief executive officer, Bagwell Entertainment; Susan Brown, director of development services, City of Knoxville; Deborah Diddle, certified public accountant; Patrick Donelly, general manager, Hyatt Regency; Allen Edwards, president, Pellissippi State Technical Community College; Mike Fleenor, owner, Fleenor Security Services; Larry Fleming, general manager and president, Knoxville Utilities Board.

Col. Frederick Forster, base commander, 134th Air Refueling Group; Monroe Free, president, Knoxville Area Rescue Ministries; Christopher Gallu, general manager, WBIR-TV; John Gill, special counsel to the Knox County District Attorney; James Hall, manager of Oak Ridge Operations, Department of Energy; Lee Hyde III, president, Screen Art; Raja Jubran, president, Denark-Smith Corp.; Ben Landers, chief executive officer, United Way of Greater Knoxville.
