KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Minority business owners can learn more about doing business with the University of Tennessee at the Purchasing and Minority Business Enterprise Seminar.

The meeting is set for Sept. 25 at the UT Conference Building, 600 Henley St.

Minority business owners and account and sales representatives can learn about university purchasing processes and requirements.

“We want minority vendors to learn more about how UT works and how to go about getting more business from UT,” said Jean Matson, chair of the event.

The seminar will cover how to put together a proposal, what UT looks for when evaluating proposals and exactly what UT purchases.

Among the speakers at the day-long seminar will be UT-Knoxville Chancellor William Snyder.

This seminar, sponsored by UT-Knoxville’s Office of Business Services, is free, but registration is limited to 100 participants. Registration deadline is Sept. 1.
