KNOXVILLE, Tenn.– Dr. Charles L. Thompson of the University of Tennessee-Knoxville has been named Counselor Educator-Supervisor of the Year by the American Mental Health Counselors Association.
The award was presented at AMHCA’s recent national meeting.
Thompson is a professor in the counselor education and counseling psychology unit in the College of Education. He is co-author of Counseling Children, a textbook which has been issued in several editions, including Chinese. He is frequently quoted in popular media such as Good Housekeeping and Parenting magazines.
He has been a UT-Knoxville faculty member since 1967.
