KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Officials from the University of Tennessee and Collegiate Licensing Co. will be in the campus area again this fall looking for vendors selling unlicensed UT merchandise.

All merchandise containing UT logos or trademarks must be licensed, said Sara Phillips, UT director of licensing. Revenue from the licensing program supports scholarships and other student activities, she said.

UT police and staff from CLC will check vendors before this year’s home games. Officers will issue citations to persons unlawfully selling unlicensed merchandise and will seize unlicensed goods, she said.

“We hope our enforcement efforts will stop the sale of unlicensed merchandise,” Phillips said.
