KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Degrees will be awarded to 841 students Friday at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville’s summer commencement.

John Seigenthaler, chairman and founder of the Freedom Forum First Amendment Center at Vanderbilt University, will deliver the commencement address.

The ceremony will begin at 9 a.m. in Thompson-Boling Arena. UT President Joe Johnson will confer the degrees.

The following undergraduate degrees, by college, will be awarded:

Agricultural sciences and natural resources, 15; arts and sciences, 265; business administration, 84; communications, 34; education, 44; engineering, 44; human ecology, 48; and social work, 1.

Graduate degrees to be conferred include: masters, 222; doctor of philosophy, 75; doctor of education, 7; and specialist in education, 2.
