KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Emerson H. Fly, University of Tennessee executive vice president, has been installed as president of the Southern Association of College and University Business Officers.

Fly, who also is UT’s vice president for business and finance, will serve a one-year term as president of the

890-member association. He was installed at a meeting last week in Lexington, Ky.

”These are difficult times for college and university business officers, so it’s a special honor to lead an organization that is helping us do our jobs better,” Fly said.

SACUBO’s goals and objectives include:

* Developing and promoting improved principles and efficient procedures in the business and financial management of colleges and universities.

* Conducting educational activities to help individuals improve or develop their capabilities in higher education business management.

SACUBO’s members come from public and private institutions.
